Our aim
Our aim is to provide an alternative to the usual resort centre accommodation for those looking for a central location with many different areas to explore, local house-hunters or those who simply want to get away from it all in a peaceful area with the most beautiful views of Mont-Blanc.
History
We moved to this delightful area of France in 2006 and have never looked back - we now welcome visitors here to see for themselves what makes this place so special!
Customer testimonials
"The description is very accurate and the accommodation is really well equipped. We have been able to cook amazing meals using the oven, microwave and hob without any effort. Anything you may need is here! We have rented using James Villas- Best of James, but they do not have patch on this place.
In addition the views are indeed amazing, the terrace great. If you like to relax and enjoy this is the place. Everything is close by if you don't mind getting in the car.
The information provided is very comprehensive with brochures of local things to do included. Even washing up liquid, olive oil, loo paper is here for your use.
This day and age being away from the office is a wrench, not so in this place. Wifi works great and we have been able to work whilst here, so a great new office location found for the future.
We are already planning our next trip, this is one of the best places/ areas to visit " in the world" Ms H (2 adults). UK
"The apartment is excellent and had everything we needed. We were made to feel very welcome by Sue and Tony, providing us with plenty of information about the area. The view from the apartment is amazing, looking across the valley to Mont Blanc - great to see the sunrise over the mountain. Had a brilliant time thank you!" Mr C (2 adults), UK
"Perfect location - watching the sunrise over Mont Blanc every morning - beyond our wildest dreams! Views are just stunning. If you like walking it is a brilliant place to stay from gentle ambles to the full 'monty'!. Mr & Mrs T (2 adults), UK
"It's clear from the outset that Sue and Tony want their guests to have the best time possible. Sue met us at the apartment car park, showed us round, and gave us the "low down" on the area. This made a huge difference as, beyond wanting to visit the Alps, we had no special plans. Thanks to her advice we visited Lac Vert up above the apartment, took numerous walks, went to Italy for the day "for a pizza", visited Switzerland for the day and, most amazingly (for me because I had a fear of heights - no longer!) we went in the cable car up the Aiguille Du Midi (next peak to Mont Blanc)! All these activities were fixed by the time Sue had left us that first night! Sue and Tony made it plain that they are very much available for their guests if needed, but kept a low profile when they weren't - which was the perfect balance.
The apartment is in a quiet and affluent residential area up above the Passy valley, so it has great and uninterrupted views. It's perfect for a couple, like us, but is equipped for more! Everything we could have wanted was supplied! Not only that, but everything matched, and the apartment has been thoughtfully decorated and equipped. Little details like the matching coffee maker and kettle that also "match" the kitchen decor, the full set of matching crockery (and cutlery), the really nice bathroom decor, and the good quality furnishings and fitments mean that we felt we had stayed somewhere special!
Of course, the most stunning feature of Mont Blanc views is...the stunning view! Not only did the ever-changing face of Mont Blanc fill both the French windows to the lounge and the bedroom (we never closed the bedroom curtains at night - whatever time we woke there it was in all it's magnificent glory!) but the view from the balcony over the whole of the Passy valley is just amazing, day and night. We found it so endlessly fascinating that, whenever we were "in", we spent most of our time on the balcony, whatever time of day or night and whatever the weather. And talking of weather, we had brilliant weather, but even the one time when there was mist and rain (for a few hours only) the balcony provides shelter and the sight of mist and cloud swirling round Mont Blanc still kept us out on the balcony - taking photos! I even took photos from the recycling bins - they must have the best views from any "bins" in the World!!
This may sound like an over-effusive review, but I could say so much more. We live in a beautiful place but from the moment we got back we missed Passy and have been talking about returning to do all the things we would have fitted in if we'd had more time! So, thank you so much Sue and Tony, we had the most brilliant time and we wouldn't think of looking for a different apartment if -no, WHEN we return." Mr & Mrs K (2 adults), UK
"We have had the most wonderful week! Everything we could have wished for, and more besides, was provided. The apartment is very comfortable and really nicely "fitted out" - and of course the views are utterly fantastic! We spent most of our time here on the balcony - every meal, and every evening. Your suggestions for local visits helped us enjoy our stay enormously. We LOVE it here! Five star ++ brilliant!" Mr & Mrs K (2 adults), Wales
"Spotlessly clean, well equipped and well located. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you Sue & Tony for making our stay in the Chamonix valley such a good one!" Mr R, (4 adults), New Zealand
"Very comfortable apartment, enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony every morning with such amazing views. We would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends and if we were to visit this area again we know where wewould be staying." Mr & Mrs P, UK
"Many thanks for letting us stay at the apartment. We had a great time with trips to Megeve, Chamonix, Aguille du Midi and on the Mont Blanc Express to Martigny. The apt was a great location for all these, was lovely and clean, had all the facilities we needed, plus amazing views of Mont Blanc. We hope to return and hopefully for a bit longer next time." Mr T (2 adults), UK
"The apartment has amazing views and is well equipped. The owner, Sue, is very helpful and friendly. The location is very good for lots of ski resorts and other places of interest. We would definately like to return." Mr & Mrs T (2 adults), UK
"A friend and I have recently returned from a stay at Mont Blanc views and had a brilliant time. The apartment is lovely and homely with extremely comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed, including a dvd player for watching films when we were too tired after a day of skiing to go out! We loved the big balcony with amazing views and lovely warm sunshine - a very nice change from cold drizzly Scotland! Sue and Tony could not have been more helpful - they told us the best places to eat/shop/get ski gear, as well as providing loads of information about the nearby ski resorts. There is a folder full of information in the apartment which is very handy to refer to. Chamonix is about 20 minutesdrive away and is a lovely town with brilliant ski resorts and a great apres-ski scene. I would definitely recommend Mont Blanc Views as a great place to stay in winter or summer, as it is a great base for exploring the whole valley, and I would love to go back." Miss S (2 adults), UK
"We had an absolutely fantastic stay in your apartment – found it a great base for exploring the area. We loved Megeve and Chamonix, and ventured into Switzerland and Italy, and despite not planning to ski we couldn’t resist the temptation and skied 2 days at Plaine Joux! Our highlight was ascending up to Aiguille du Midi at Chamonix – out of this world! And yes, the weather was incredible, and we both came back with brown faces!" Ms A (2 adults), UK
"We had a wonderful winter break, with snowy walks in the daytime - some direct from the apartment - and cosy evenings looking out at the spectacular views. The apartment is comfortable, well-equipped, and perfectly located for some fantastic mountain walking." Ms F (2 adults), UK
"The apartment was set in a fantastic location with the most amazing views of Mont Blanc. The sunny balcony was provided with a table and chairs plus parasol and made for a perfect breakfast in the sun or a relaxing evening watching the setting sun slowly blend the mountains into the night sky. The apartment was kitted out with everything you could want including LCD TV, DVD player, iPOD dock, fast wireless (and wired) broadband and plenty of power sockets including UK sockets in both the lounge and bedroom.
The fully fitted kitchen contained every possible convenience including high quality built-in oven/grill and separate built-in microwave, dishwasher and a large full height fridge freezer. There was more than enough crockery, cutlery and glassware of all shapes and sizes and the only one item missing was a pizza cutter (which has probably now been procured). The owners even did my grocery shopping for me so everything was there on my arrival saving the shopping expedition that is really not welcome after a long trip.
The main bedroom had a very comfortable double bed and a luxury en-suite bathroom. Everything was provided from towels, extra pillows and blankets to toilet rolls, soap and shampoo and the bedroom also had a clock radio, plentiful lighting, hair dryer, clock radio and even a large selection of books.
The lounge contained a comfy sofa which turned into an equally comfortable double bed with not the usual flimsy mattress normally associated with most sofa beds, but one which would very comfortably allow an adult couple to enjoy many good night's sleep. Both rooms each had French windows leading onto the balcony with wooden shutters to keep the light out if for some reason the fabulous view bothered you. In the severest winters these would likely keep out the cold although the apartment required little heating and the radiators were capable of heating a city if used to their full potential.
Whilst compact, the apartment would cater for up to four people but would best be suited to a couple or family with one or two children if the stay was for more than a couple of days.
Whilst the apartment was first class in its self, it was the owners that made our stay most comfortable as they were so attentive to our needs. They were on hand day and night if required and very keen to make sure everything was just right for us. This included advice on places to visit, their first-hand experience of the area's plentiful ski-slopes and beauty spots, advice on dining and travelling and a pack of tourist guides for just about every 'attraction' in the region. They also provided two packs (one French, one English) with instructions covering every appliance in the apartment and simple instructions for setting up wireless Internet access.
In summary, the location was perfect, the apartment wanted for nothing and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful." Mr S (1 adult, 1 teenager), UK
"Though we only stayed for one evening we enjoyed our stay immensely. The place was so well fit-out and organised. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need in a self-catering home away from home. The view of Mont Blanc and the valley are spectacular and watching the sunrise from the bed has been a highlight of our trip so far. Thanks again." Miss F (2 adults), New Zealand
"The listing description is very accurate, and also the information provided by the owner per email was really good. Due to smart usage of the space available, the apartment is perfectly suited for 2 people, but if you can live with somewhat less privacy and space it will do fine for 4 people. It has every modern resource that one can wish for, including a very nice kitchen and bathroom, two two-person beds, flatscreen TV, broadband internet and even an iphone docking station. The apartment was very well maintained and cleaned by the owners, who were also very friendly and helpful, making the holiday very pleasant. A car was recommended in the description, and I'd say that is true indeed. By car, you can reach beautiful spots that are just a few kilometers away. I'd recommend this apartment mainly for mountain hiking, but also the famous Lac Leman is only a 45 minute drive away. I would recommend everyone to take the toll roads, since it really cuts down the amount of driving time. Altogether we have had a very nice stay in the apartment, and we would certainly recommend this property to everybody!" Mr T, (4 adults), Holland
"Glorious views, well-appointed apartment, internet access a bonus point. Would stay again and recommend to friends." Mr B, (2 adults), UK
"Appartement très agréable, vue superbe, calme. Prestations soignées et de qualité. Lit extraordinairement confortable. Peignoirs très appréciés. Bravo ! Merci." Mr A (2 adults), France
"The apartment was as clean & tidy as we could have hoped on arrival - always very important to us! Hosts welcoming & helpful, apartment very well equipped for the two of us, stunning views from the balcony. We've really enjoyed our week." Mr S (2 adults), UK
"The scenery is breathtaking, the apartment lovely, information provided and helpfullness of the owners excellent. We have had a wonderful time, thank you." Mr S (2 adults), UK, June 2010
"Excellent all round. Thanks!" Mr S (2 adults, 1 child), UK
"Wonderful apartment - lovely place to stay. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family." Mr L (2 adults), UK
"Well what can i say.... fantastic view, lovely apartment, great hosts. If you would like a quiet & peaceful location to travel from to see the Alps & Chamonix valley you can't get better than thus. The appartment is easy to find, with gentle winding roads up the mountain side to look across and admire Mont Blanc. Tony & Sue are perfect hosts, giving you a warm welcome and checking you have everything you may need. The appartment is furnished to a high standard, with all the facilities you may wish for, warm and cosy with no noise from adjoining properties. We would highly recommed a stay and will certainly be back again." Mr D (2 adults, 2 teenagers), UK
"We found this apartment to be excellent for our ski holiday in France. The apartment was lcoated in a beautiful hill and had panoramic view over the Mont-Blanc mountain range and was lcoated near Passy, a town where it is possible to do all necessary shopping of food and sports equipment etc at good prices. The location was excellent because it was near several outstanding ski resorts by car like the Chamonix Mont-Blanc where we had several fantastic ski days. The apartment was very well equipped with a complete kitchen with all necessary items for making good meals in the evening and the apartment had as well a nice bathroom. It was also very convenient to have a dishwasher and a microwave. We also had internet access and possibility to watch a good DVD after a long day outdoors in the mountain, something that we really appreciated.
We found the owners to be very helpful and they offered us all the service and information we needed, so that our only focus was on relaxing and enjoying our holiday withour being unnecessary concerned with practical arrangements. All information needed about surrounding areas to explore as well as practical arrangements about the apartment was described in a well organized booklet, it thus made it timesaving for us to orientate and it enabled us to do quicker and better decision making.
If you like to be independent but in a well organized contect away from the typical charter tourist area but still in a short distance to great mountain areas in beautiful scenery, a French village and you like to explore mountain areas, I could certainly recommend you to stay in this apartment." Mr K (3 adults), Norway
"We all agreed that the apartment was extremely comfortable and well equipped combined with a very helpful and friendly reception from you and we would certianly return or recommend it to others." Mr H (4 adults) UK
“Just a word of thanks for your outstanding hospitality and friendliness. We were not only astounded by the beauty of the area but with the range of things to do all within a short distance from our perfect base. The apartment is blessed with the most stunning panorama and is superbly equipped and maintained to a far higher standard than any holiday accommodation I have stayed in before. I particularly liked the provision of UK power sockets, DVD player and iPod dock. We look forward to our next visit!” Mr S, (1 adult, 1 teenager), UK, Oct 2009
"Really enjoyed my stay - very relaxing! I'm already looking forward to my next visit..." Mrs A (1 adult), UK
"We've just had a week staying at Mont Blanc Views which was very comfortable and well resourced. We regularly found ourselves peering up at the mountains as the views truly were fantastic. Sue was really helpful, efficient and friendly. Over the week we commented a number of times on our good fortune in finding such a nice place to stay." Mr S, Australia (2 adults)
